Exploring Nature at Lalbagh: A Kid’s Perspective

At Iwan Kids, we love to learn, and sometimes the best way to learn is by stepping out into the world. Recently, we went on an exciting excursion to Lalbagh Botanical Garden, and I’m here to share what we discovered! This blog is a summary from one of our Iwan Kids participants who joined the adventure.

My Adventure at Lalbagh

Hi, I’m Musab, and I want to tell you all about our amazing trip to Lalbagh! It was such a fun day, and I learned so many cool things about plants, flowers, and even tiny creatures. I had no idea nature could be this exciting!

What We Did

We started the day by meeting our Iwan group at the entrance. It was so green and peaceful—I felt like I had stepped into a new world. Our guide told us all about the history of Lalbagh and how it has so many plants from different parts of the world.

Here are some highlights from the trip:

    1. Learning About Plants:
We saw trees that were hundreds of years old! My favorite part was the glasshouse—it was full of beautiful flowers. We learned how plants help keep the air clean and how important they are for our planet.

    1. Observing Ecosystems:
Our guide showed us how every plant, insect, and animal in Lalbagh works together to keep the environment healthy. It was like a big teamwork story!

    1. Sketching Nature:
We sat down with our notebooks and sketched some of the trees and flowers. I tried to draw a huge tree, but it was so big I couldn’t fit it on my page!

    1. Fun with Friends:
The best part of the trip was spending time with my Iwan friends. We laughed, explored, and shared our discoveries.

What I Learned

This trip wasn’t just fun—it was full of lessons too. I learned that every little thing in nature has a role to play, even the tiniest ant or the smallest flower. I also realized how important it is to take care of our environment so that future generations can enjoy places like Lalbagh.

Thank You, IWAN Kids!

A big thank you to Iwan Kids for organizing this trip. It was a day I’ll never forget! I can’t wait for our next adventure.
